On Thursday, the 4th of June 2009, at Ammayanaickanur, Kodairoad, along the Madurai Dindugal Road a quiet revolution got underway. The Kaviyan school [under the aegis of the Jegamati Educational Trust] was born with the lofty ideal and noble objective of providing world class education to rural children who all along, have been denied and neglected the light of true knowledge and their path of emancipation. Children who would be educated & trained, their talents nurtured, harnessed and lead to become in the near future, leaders in all walks of lives.
This would consequently herald change, a tremendous, qualitative, emancipated difference in the lives that we all lead in general and more. So that our rural brethren lead in particular. This inspiration to give back to society what we owe to it and to contribute to its welfare by spreading the light of knowledge and driving away the darkness of illiteracy that especially haunts our rural areas is what led to the evolution of the Kaviyan School.
