The Shansi group of Resturanants was started by Mr. M.V. Damodaran in the year 1982.Mr. Damodaran is a trained professional in hotel management. His son Mr. Abhilash Damodaran is also a trained professional of the esteemed – Swiss Hotel Management School, Switzerland.
We have succeeded in making Shansi a preferred choice of many chennaiites. The huge success of our first restaurant led us to open other branches, one in Annanagar (1984) and the other in kodambakkam (1997). All the Branches are located in prime spots of the city, at gourmet destinations.
In addition to the exquisite food provided at the restaurants, they also deal with outdoor catering for as many as 5000 people. Shansi has been the official caterer for all cricket matches that take place in Chennai, including national and international cricket matches for the past 17 years.
Food that one craves for, then there is always the Exhaustive Kerala cusine to choose from, ranging from Malabar Biryani to Kappa Karimeen, Cuttle fish and Mussels. It is the food heritage of Kerala, brought to Chennai.
